Formerly   Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Medical Education, Govt.of Kerala. Currently working as Professor, Department of Community Medicine SreeMookambika Institute of Medical Sciences, Kulashekharam, Tamilnadu, and consultant epidemiologist for CARING, a not for a profit research organization in Thiruvananthapuram. More than 30  years of experience in postgraduate teaching.  Held additional position as Epidemiologist – HIV Sentinel Surveillance Programme ( NACO)and  State Task Force Chairperson -RNTCP from  2003 to 2009. Guided more than 30 medical postgraduate students of Community Medicine in their PG theses. Participated in several research projects undertaken by the department and published papers in national and international journals.
