Associate Professor (Rtd), Dept of Community Medicine, Medical Education, Govt. of Kerala. Currently working as Executive Director, CARING, a not for profit research organization and Hon. Faculty, CERTC, Medical College Thiruvananthapuram. Thirty-three years of teaching experience at UG and PG levels.  Programme consultant, INCLEN and Project officer (2015-18), School of Health Policy and Planning, KUHS. Consultant in research methodology in general and tool development and qualitative research in specific,  to the Postgraduate, M Phil and PhD students of various streams of medicine. Participated in 26 major research projects funded by national/international funding agencies, 17 multisite projects, as PI or Co-PI. Conducted seven programme evaluation studies for Govt. of India and two for  Govt. of Kerala, as PI in 4 projects. Member, IECs of medical, dental and nursing colleges, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Bio-Technology,   Regional Institute of Ophthalmology,  Indian Institute of Diabetes and Child Development Centre (CDC). Resource faculty for various training and certificate programmes of KUHS. Presented papers in eleven global conferences and resource person for more than 50 national/regional conferences.  Examiner for evaluating  M.phil and  PhD theses of various Indian universities. Published several papers in national and international journals and ten monographs as author or co-author.
