Scientific research plays an important role in our efforts in combating the disease conditions as well as maintaining the health of the population. However, research has never been a priority area of activity among the academicians in the field of health. Recently there is a changing trend; post-graduate students are taking up their theses more seriously and more and more faculty members joining the Ph.D. programs or taking up research projects in their own areas of interest. But inadequacies in research capacities in quantitative and qualitative approaches were felt as a major impediment in this move forward.

Recognizing the importance of research in academic settings and the need to improve the capacity of researchers, the Centre for Advanced Research Information Network and Guidance proposes to conduct “Capacity Building Webinar Series in Health Science Research Methodology” for faculty members, Ph.D. scholars, and Post Graduate students belonging to various systems and streams of Health Science.

Aim

To improve the practical skills of participants on methods of approaching a research problem in a systematic manner; thus enhancing their capabilities in doing research projects, addressing critical regional and local health problems, using quantitative and qualitative methods.

For who are these webinar series?

  1. Faculty members from various disciplines who are engaged in research and wish to master advanced statistical techniques to dig deeper into their data and to facilitate them in developing the art of writing
  2. Research Scholars who are pursuing their Ph.D. or Postgraduate degrees in health science and other allied disciplines.
  3. Post Graduate students in health science disciplines
